A System for Organizing Short, Related Pages

The Elevator Mutli-Page Display Panel is a good system to use when there are several short pages in a site that need to be built but which do not have sufficient text on each one to justify an entire page to themselves. They can also be used for an e-commerce site to help organize similar products. It is easy for customers to flip through the panels to compare products. Elevator Panels can contain images, image links to view a larger image of the product, and text links to other pages or other sites. When using a payment system such as PayPal, a purchase link can be included within the Elevator Panel.


Pros
•	Five different base styles that can be customized to fit any color and style theme.
•	One panel can always be kept open or all panels can be closed with a double click on the current open panel.
•	You can choose which panel you want to open on page load.
•	Option to have only one panel open or all panels open on page load.
•	The panel height automatically adjusts to fit the contents.
•	Two different animations styles: glide, and glide with a gradual stop (used here).
•	Options for a mouse-over reveal and close or a click-only function.
•	Panels can auto-rotate one or more times on page load. Speed of the auto-rotate can be set as can the time delay between panel displays.
•	Easy to create and add or delete panels.


Cons
•	Is only available in a horizontal format and thus the number of panels is limited by the page width.
•	Is can be tempting to add a large number of images to each panel because they are so easy to organize. Each image adds to the page load time, although keeping the images small or of a medium resolution will help to offset that problem.
•	If the panels become very long it takes time for the panels to scroll into view when the button is clicked. The viewer may think that nothing is happening. This system is best limited to shorter pages.
