| This Slideshow Program Has It All | ||||
| If you want a slideshow with Controls, this system deserves a look. | ||||
| Pros | ||||
| • | Can be customized to complement your site. | |||
| • | Easy to create, reorder, and add or delete images. | |||
| • | Image box automatically resizes. | |||
| • | Size of larger thumbnails can be controlled. | |||
| • | Multiple image sets option (two sets shown here). Sets are accessible from the thumbnails panel and run consecutively. | |||
| • | Image sets can be toggled or remain open. | |||
| • | Full-size images can be links to other sites or pages. | |||
| • | First button on toolbar can hold links to other pages or other sites. This button can also be removed. | |||
| • | Five different styles with all the toolbar controls. One style with only play controls and no border. | |||
| • | Once thumbnails displayed, they can be moved around on the screen by dragging the multi-arrow bar. | |||
| • | Speed of the slideshow is controlled using the slider bar. | |||
| • | An image counter is included in case the viewer doesn't use the thumbnail images. | |||
| Cons | ||||
| • | The large thumbnail sizes must be the same throughout or there is an unacceptable flickering of the thumbnails during mouse hover. | |||
| • | Unless all the images are the same height, design should be restricted so that nothing appears below the slideshow or when images resize, large awkward gaps will appear (demonstrated here). | |||
| • | The links under the first button only change if the mouse is moved off the dropdown menu and then returned. If takes a few tries to figure out, but eventually it becomes obvious. | |||
